This painting has gone through quite a few changes. It started as a painting of my mother and katy lighting the candles of my birthday cake with a nice delicate tree in the top left corner. Now it is me and these blobs of color. I want to keep working on it. I think the chrysanthemum will go, and so will the green lines around the figure. I also want to lighten up the dark space behind the figure.
